Items of note

At SNY.tv yesterday, both Sam Borden and Mike Salfino presented the possibility of the Jets running the table and making the playoffs. My bet? They’ll finish 8-8, because the Jets are doomed to perpetually finish 8-8.

Bravo, James. This picture says it all.

Joe Janish runs down a list of potential high-reward free-agent starting pitchers.

The Mets are obviously going to sign Henry Blanco, and good thing: It’s important that they have an old, bad backup catcher to fill in for the old, bad starting catcher they’ll inevitably sign.

This is incredibly interesting. Real-life Memento story.

  1. Don’t get all bent out of shape. It’s a backup catcher, not leprosy. The man can throw like nobody’s business. He adds depth and experience to the available catching core bound to help Santos and Thole this spring training no matter where they play this season. If Mets sign Molina, we’ll be right hand hitting heavy,….better off filling the starting slot with lefty hitter through trade.

  2. From the Memento article:

“He consented years ago to donate his brain for study, and last February Dr. Jacopo Annese, an assistant professor of radiology at the University of California, San Diego, traveled across the country and flew back with the brain seated next to him on Jet Blue.”

Wonder if the brain had cookies or the blue potato chips? LMAO, I’ll be here all month.

Also I feel like Guy Pearce and Christopher Nolan should somehow be involved in the brain study.
