Bay as best Canadian baseball player? Interesting question. I think he’s got a long way to go to surpass Larry Walker (Walker career OPS+ 140, Bay career OPS+ 131, plus Walker was a good outfielder when he was younger, Bay never really was). And then as a hitter at least, Joey Votto (OPS+ 139 for his young career; I had no idea he was Canadian until I saw him on the B-R.com page) has the potential to surpass both of them. And then beyond that I think Ferguson Jenkins has to be considered in a class by himself, doesn’t he? At least unless/until Walker joins him in the HoF.
