  1. Frankie Rodriguez has been inhabited by the spirit of Armando Benitez. The man is an embaressment and Manuel is an embaressment in his misuse of the bullpen. Get rid of them both

    • Oh no wait, Ryan — I’ve got it! The Wilpons hired me to start writing and editing for SNY’s website in November 2006 to be the lone, dissenting sabermetric voice, the token Alan Colmes that they could point to when claiming that their network offered balanced coverage of the team. It makes so much sense now — how else could I bash Jeff Francoeur for his embarrassing lack of plate discipline so often when it seems like the organization loves him so much? It’s because I’m paid to write that so SNY doesn’t appear to be ignoring the sentiments of one portion of the fanbase. I secretly love Francoeur – he’s a spirited leader whose contributions to the clubhouse chemistry have catapulted the Mets to success this year. Everything I’ve said to directly contradict that is just what I’ve been told to do.

And – oh my god – you’re part of it too, aren’t you? The Wilpons feared my subversive writing was getting too popular, so they paid you to doubt me repeatedly in a public forum with no evidence. It’s all coming together now. I mean, if you didn’t believe anything I wrote, why would you keep coming back? Because you’re on the payroll, obviously.

I’m glad I sorted that out. I only wish the Mets put half as much effort into operating a successful baseball team as they do into grandiose conspiracies to distribute propaganda.

  2. Why did the Mets DL Tatis and not cut him? He is brutal. Former Steroid guy. Your favorite. Just like Omar and Fatis you are a fan of disgracing the game.

How about taking a shot at the drop in team payroll? Or Omar’s lack of understanding of language, economics, and baseball? Instead of taking shots at Jerry and Frenchy?
