Could be just coincidence. But if next week he starts talking about red velvet fried chicken, you may be on to something.
Oh if he does read this tell him to suck it! Chad Henne is the man!
Burger Joint’s burger while tasty and good, is not in the same league as Corner Bistro’s “bistro burger”, which I feel is tops in NYC.
It’s a classic broiled cheese burger with bacon and a side of fries. The burger is a crumbly slice of heaven but the real coup de gras is that they deep fry the bacon which adds not only another texture dimension to an already delicious burger, but the shoe-string fries are fried in the same fryer and are thus infused with bacon-ey goodness (Think McDonalds fries before they removed the beef fat from their oil…but even better because IT”S BACON)!
Ted, give it a try (if you haven’t already) and tell us what you think:

The Bistro Burger is spectacular, one of my favorites in the city. I used to work at 15th and 9th, right over there, so we went all the time for lunch. Really amazing stuff. They give you so much bacon.
mmmmmmmm. Bacon.
