Who ya got?

With American League playoff picture appearing more or less set, it seems like the most interesting pennant race approaching the wire this season will feature four teams — the Braves, Rockies, Padres and Giants — vying for two spots — the National League West pennant and Wild Card.

As it currently stands, the Braves hold the Wild Card lead by 1.5 games over the Padres and Giants, who are tied for the NL West lead and a game ahead of the surging Rockies.

I know where I’m at on this one but I’m interested to see where you stand.

  1. I am going with a complimentary theory to how I pick Al teams (whichever ones have the best chance of bearing the Yankees).

NL: whichever teams have the best chance of beating the Phillies!

  2. Also from the anyone but the Braves school. Too bad anyone but the Phillies isn’t also operative! In addition–and I say this even though I am a Yankee fan–special love for the Padres, second from the bottom in team payroll.

  3. How sick is is that I’m actually praying for the Braves to pull off the sweep tonight–actively rooting against the Mets–just so they can keep pace with the Phillies? I’m not sure there’s anything I hate more than that team.
