Carlos Beltran will appear on the season premiere of Mets Hot Stove tomorrow at 7 p.m. on SNY.
Kevin Burkhardt will be back as host of the show. He’ll be joined by Newsday’s David Lennon, WFAN’s Ed Coleman, and Jon Heyman.
The series premiere of Mets Yearbook will follow at 7:30, featuring the Mets’ 1971 season in review. The show contains Old Timers’ Day footage of Satchel Paige pitching, which I’m guessing is awesome.

Eh? That’s complete nonsense.
Anyway, I agree with Peter here. Carlos Beltran is the BEST all around player the Mets have, and have had in a long time. Did you listen to his interview this morning? A very stand up guy, just like DWright. Wright is the “captain” of the team I guess. But as someone on Metsblog said earlier, Beltran is definitely the leader of this team.
He came back for NOTHING this year. He could have just sat back and collected his paycheck. But he was very professional and did his job. The media and NY fans in general may take him for granted, but I for one don’t. And when/if he is no longer a NY Met, the rest of you will finally realize his worth.
I totally agree with the Beltran being the mets
leader and I also think he the Mets best player hands down and just to add hes a six tool player, that the five great baseball attributes, # 6 hes a stand up guy which is hard to find in professional sport, The Wilpon should make sure beltran retire a Met..
