Items of note

Greg Monroe had an awesome game last night for my Hoyas, but not nearly enough credit has been given to sophomore guard Jason Clark, who probably hasn’t even grown into his frame yet. “Big paws on a puppy,” as Chris Partlow might say.

Something actually happened at the Winter Meetings, and it’s been branded a “megadeal.” I guess you don’t see young All-Stars like Curtis Granderson and Edwin Jackson dealt every day.

Rich Cimini says the Jets need to let Mark Sanchez rest. If that’s the case, they need to also find someone who’s not Kellen Clemens to learn their offense in four days.

Courtesy of a real-life Taco Bell manager, some common-sense tips on proper drive-thru etiquette.

  1. Thongs of baseball media descend on the winter meeting every year looking foir big stories to write about, and if there aren’t any, then they will make one up. Hence the Granderson “mega-deal”.

  2. Okay. So at the local taco bell the late night drive thru attendant/night manager (let’s just call him “gene” to protect the innocent) is the best. And i’m convinced it’s because of our drivethru etiquette. Just order it up & go man. the only additional things you should order at the window are your sauces/condiments. As a result he just gives us extra food. “Oh, the people behind us must have ordered crunchwrap supremes, b/c ‘gene’ just hooked us up w/ their food.” awesome.

      • its a taco bell/pizza hut. but ive never ordered anything from the pizza hut menu. i think one of my friends get some kind of garlic bread sticks or something, but thats the extent.

      • One of your friends is reasonable. The bread sticks are the only acceptable thing to order off a Pizza Hut menu when it’s a split Pizza Hut/Taco Bell. Plus if you have extra dipping sauce, it makes for a good emergency taco condiment if they haven’t given you any taco sauce.

After a month in China, I went to a Pizza Hut because I was desperate for familiar food. It tasted just like it does in the U.S.: Terrible.

  3. I like this trade for everyone. The Yanks finally get a decent CFer. Also, check out the D-Backs rotation…Haren-Jackson-Webb…worst to first anyone?
