Bob Ojeda’s doing another third-inning live chat tonight. Check it out, and hey — maybe even ask him a question about pitching, or having been a professional baseball player, or the 1986 Mets, or his favorite foods, or anything at all besides what trades he thinks the Mets will/should make. Please, for the sake of the moderator’s sanity.
It seems as though managing the bullpen has been especially difficult for Jerry Manuel, Joe Torre, and many other managers. My question is with the success of former pitchers like Tommy Lasorda and presently Bud Black why aren’t their more former pitchers as managers?
I’m sorry…this has nothing to do with this topic. But I cannot get rid of Mr. Francouer (sarcasm). That ad is EVERYWHERE. I get the reason, yes…but oh the irony. It is nothing short of hilarious.
