Chipper Jones interview

At the game last night, my mom pointed out that there were really no players left on the Braves that you’d identify with the Braves teams that won so many damn division titles. Tim Hudson and Brian McCann played on the last of ’em, and, of course, there’s Chipper on the DL. Sounds from this interview like we haven’t heard the last of Larry Jones.

  1. so much for all his talk about not wanting to overstay his welcome, and walking away when he could no longer play up to his standards.

Looks like another guy that just can’t give up the thrill (hard to believe at this point it is all about the money, but that is a lot of scratch to give up).

Hope he does come back, tying up a ton of payroll for the braves, and stinks again.

  2. i lot of people say that though they hated him on the field, they respect the way chipper played and they appreciate him as a person. i so totally dont, and did not watch that interview because his face makes me want to wretch. however, on the other hand, he did knock up a hooters waitress while being married with kids, so i can see how people appreciate his hustle.

heres a to a long miserable retirement for my man larry jones. cheers!

  3. You can see from the previous remarks the effect Larry has on Mets fans. I wonder who else could have that strong of an impact – negative or positive – on those of us who are fiercely loyal to the lackluster Mets despite the overwhelming number of disappointing seasons?
