Call me even more ignorant, before I read your post and the link WSJ article, I had never even heard of the Dougie.
I saw a bit of tha John Wal clip a few weeks ago but I had no idea WTF he was doing. I didnt realize it was some big thing.
Hmm, I first saw the Dougie in the movie Paid in Full. A movie from 2002 and the actor / rapper Cam’ron did the move. I’d give a link to the clip but it’s not very safe for work-ish.
Glad it caught on close to a decade later…
